Unlocking home screen to add widgets

I'm trying to unlock my home screen to put the widgets i want on there and it's not doing it. Any suggestions on how to unlock it?

Go to Settings, tap open> >scroll to find Home Screen, tap open> scroll, and find "Lock Home Screen layout," and toggle off. Let me know if you need further assistance.
