Once again another update for another UI and I have crappy battery once again right out of the gate and now I got to wait for it to settle into be some thing good I guess which it never really ends up being... Do you have to clear cache after an update anymore or is that old school stuff... Idk.

I always wipe the cache partition after a update cleans out the junk

Where do you find/or how do you do the cache partition?

It's a crazy act of acrobatics- pressing ON/OFF button at the same time pressing either the VOLUME (UP or DOWN) button!
It's like an old DOS way to get to a "secret" passage into menu to fix stuff. Crazy-crazy, I know, but it's there. šŸ¤Æ

BUT IT WORKS šŸ’Ŗ. This "act" must be done at the PRECISE MOMENT BEFORE THE PHONE RESTARTS (BLACK SCREEN), or it won't work, and it'll go straight to reboot. Then you gotta start all over!

I have to agree with you my S23 ultra had better battery. The standby time on my S24 ultra is even worse. I to clear cache after every update and it hasn't helped. My battery gets to 100 I unplug it and it sits for maybe 5 minutes and it drops a percentage. Over night I'll look and it's at 90 I wake up 6 hours later and it's at 75 if not less **bleep** I thought it was suppose to be better??

Actually, I think that's pretty good. And, I've learned that data as opposed to wifi uses much more battery power- plus battery usage is finicky as heck. It's slow to drain, FAST to drain to SLOW again!!! And the HEAT šŸ„µ, forgettabouttit! Geesh! Burn your face sometimes- yeow! šŸ˜Š

I also automatically do a partition cache clear after every OS and security update to sweep out the software bugs they sometimes contain. Here are the steps:
