Feedback on S23 series One UI 6.1 megathread

Every since updating to this verson, The most significant features i use are circle to search and the lockscreen widgets. Some bugs: slow charging speed, crappy lockscreen widget animations. And slightly more battery drain. Fix this samsung.

Already not a fan of the ui update I just went through. Unnecessary change to the navigation bar with the swipe style is now more complicated and inconvenient and really conflicts with similar functions in apps I regularly use (like Discord).

I personally don't like using the button style because I kept accidentally activating the open apps & back buttons and takes up more space on my screen than I care for. Now it's more difficult and annoying to see my open apps and am constantly activating the "back button" when I'm swiping to close to the edge (where I normally would put my fingers for other apps that use swiping to navigate in them)

I'm not sure if anyone else is bothered by this as well, but I think the old swipe style where the apps, home and back "buttons" were all on the bottom and had to swipe up to activate them, was fine as it was. (As of typing this I almost backed out several times due to the new swipe version)

Download the New Version of Navstar in Goodlock and enable Show Extra Gestures then go back to your phone settings and you will be able to put the old style gestures back on your phone

Samsung you made the main Swipe Gestures Navigation Bar appreciably worse with this update, I don't even know what you were thinking. Going from the easy and simple three bars to the single wonky bar that doesn't work well and makes the phone navigation slower and more clunky is not helpful..please go back to more intuitive and effective model. This update is a step backwards and it effects the entire way one interfaces every second of the day with your product...and not for the better.

•  Then open It  >
•  Scroll down & download NavStar  >
•  Then open NavStar  >
•  NavStar switch On  >
•  Enable Extra Gestures Settings  >


•  Then go to phone settings  >
•  Display  >
•  Navigation Bar  >
•  Choose Swipe Gestures  >
•  Press More Options  >
•  Choose Swipe from Bottom  >
•  Turn Gestures Hints Off.

It's not allowing me to change to NavStar or enable it, nothing changed. I followed your instructions exactly. Any advice what I may be missing??

UPDATE: I missed turning on extra gesture settings. (Oops haha) 

Thank you so much! I'm still furious at Samsung for making me use this **bleep** since yesterday. Ridiculous. I almost rooted my phone to go install third-party software to fix it or just say screw it an go with an iPhone. Trust me.. I was actually looking at iPhones. I hate iPhones... But I REALLY hate this new update.

God thank you for posting this. I hate the new navigation bar. If I wanted an iPhone then I'd buy an iPhone. Stop mimicking everything they do as if that makes your phones better. Thanks for posting
