I also just found something out very interesting that is going to make it very crucial that Samsung keeps text around you cannot delete old PCS from your account as soon as you add them to Microsoft's link for Samsung So eventually you're just going to get too many **bleep**g devices and crash your own account or if you get one infected computer you just infected all your computers cuz there are you know I mean the bigger picture here we can't delete other devices without decks look into it okay I will actually show you guys a photo of what I'm talking about

That's a Microsoft problem to fix, not Samsung.

I'm confused.  I LOVED DEX. Link to Windows sucks by comparison.  I just finished updating Windows to the latest and then when I rebooted, the PC said there was a new Dex.  So I told it to update.  I got a message that said Dex was not supported on OneUI 7 and newer (or was it 8, I'm not sure).  I'm not sure what my Samsung S10 is running for One UI, but I was irritated to say the least.  But then I turned off Link to windows and turned on Dex again, and everything works.  Does this mean that I don't have One UI 7 or whatever the version is or have they just not turned off Dex for Windows YET?

What is the official story for my Samsung?

Ah, I asked Copilot how to find the version and I have OneUI 4.1.  ANOTHER reason why I'm glad I have kept the Samsung S10.  I like the SD card for lots of local storage so I can show friends pictures when there is no internet connection around in places around the world (although those are getting fewer nowadays).  And I like the magnetic strip emulator in order to use the phone to charge even when small stores in countries like Turkey don't have tap to pay and it still works.

And now I like that I don't have a newer OneUI and can still use Dex.  Will suck when this phone eventually dies and I have to upgrade to a newer phone and will lose Dex.  Dex was a GREAT tool to use with my PC.  I JUST used it to drag and drop a photo to the PC desktop which I tried to do with Link to Windows but couldn't because it was so darn slow with the thousands and thousands of photos I have.  (32,000+ last time I looked and that was a while ago.   30 trips documented with pictures in something like 53 countries)

I would like a better camera (but this is awfully good also).

@Mtiede As the comments in this thread state, Dex for phones and Tablets is not ending.

The Dex for Windows is what is being discontinued. They discontinued Dex for Macs a year or so ago.

I don't care about dex for tablets unless it is a windows tablet. As I found out, I'm at least good for now because I have one ui 4.x so their change doesn't affect me yet.

But I hate it when good products are dropped. Like Microsoft dropped xbox kinect and silver light for instance. Silverlight dropping **bleep** me and my company pretty good.
