It's possible that these sound files are related to playlists, converted audio files, downloaded tracks, or 3rd party app system files. One individual mentioned they deleted the files without any ramifications. Generally, I wouldn't worry too much about them.

Did you try playing any? Maybe you have a hidden stash of Achy Breaky Heart or something.
