S 23 Ultra Google Assistant not supported?

Hello. Has anyone else gotten a message on Google Assistant claiming not to be supported by their device? I have the latest update, and am not fond of Gemini. I have removed and disabled Gemini almost eveeveryday hoping to stay with google, but no success.

Did you try and download Google assistant from playstore and would not install ? I have downloaded it and installed and it's working.

The app should have been updated to Google Gemini which has all the assistant stuff built into it

I think so, too. It seems to be working now, I needed both apps on my device to be able to switch between the two.

I shut Gemini off and use Google Assistant. Gemini has some bugs in it.
