Samsung has the ability to create more beautiful icons, it has enough options. Why do I have to download themes and icons somewhere if the phone costs $1300? Nokia and Sony Ericsson made better icons 15-20 years ago!
"Better Icons" is a subjective term. Paying $1300 for a phone does not mean said device will have every icon and theme ever imagined by mankind on it. It is absurd what people tack onto the "But I paid $1300 for this!" comment.
You paid $1300 for a phone with advanced customizability options that let you make icons etc look however you want them to look. If you don't want to use these features, that's not Samsung's fault.
