Hello, We understand how frustrating it is when the phone is overheating.

Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smartwatch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. Give this link a try: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/

Next, check to see if a third-party application may be responsible for this behavior. You can check with Safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
If the device does not overheat in Safe mode, uninstall third-party applications until normal device operation is restored.

Lastly, you can try a factory reset. Back up prior to doing this (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00060517/) as your device will be getting a fresh start, then perform a factory reset: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For assistance outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

Download Good Guardians from the Galaxy store and then download the Thermal Guardian Module.  It will help you determine what is causing your phone to overheat.  Is it truly overheating or just getting hotter than usual?  Run a diagnostic on the battery and the charging port to see if it's failing. Is this only happening while charging?  Turn off fast charging or super-fast charging, both of which can cause overheating. If it happens during use, find out which apps have high CPU usage, which also causes heat.  You certainly have the freedom to decide whether to stay with Samsung or go to Apple, but do you really believe that Apple phones don't overheat?  Or any brand, for that matter.  Whether you stick with Samsung or go to Apple is not the real question.  The real question is do you want to stay with Android? In which case, there are many other Android brands.
