Speakers lack bass compared to my s23ultra. I'd expect every aspect of a new phone to be better, if not the same as the previous generation. The s23ultra speakers sound fuller and much more balanced than the tinny sound coming out of the s24ultra. Maybe calibrate the speakers better?

If you compare it to s22u and s23u sound is much louder and more clear with better base specially on top speaker but if you compare it with other phones even with samsung's own note 10+ and s21 ultra yes it's not that good but much better than s22u and s23u.

About microphone quality for my unit it was amazing and much better than previous generations. So good that with recording in very quite places you may think the sound is recorded with a professional microphone. Try listen to the sound you recorded using pc or other devices and see if there is differences in quality.

Also about Bluetooth and generally not good speaker of s24u there is 2 option to make the sound much better. Faster option is by turning on the dolby atoms on Samsung music app or by using dolby atom icon on notification panel but this option doesn't sound good on all speakers or musics. Second option is using "adopt sound" option inside "sound quality and effects" menu (you could find it with equalizer icon inside samsung music app). With this option you could get totally different result from each speaker and different devices you use specially Bluetooth devices but you have to tune the sound carefully and manually for each device to get the best sound and with a little play with this option and it's app you could be suprise how much better everything could sound. I hope it could help you solve your problem

BTW, I did had S20 ultra earlier which i traded in for this device. My S20 ultra speaker and mic was great except the camerašŸ˜. On S24 I do have dolby atoms on but I couldn't hear much of a difference. I will try the adopt sound option to see if it makes any better. Also i agree with you on the quite place mic recording is actually pretty good. But outdoor mic recording is not that great. Thank you for the idea and help. I will give it a try.

Im sorry for the complaining attitude im giving off, but for any potential buyers of the S24 Plus series who care about speaker quality, I fear I have to warn they're terrible. I have done a trade in for my S23 plus, which I'm supposed to send in this week, and comparing both side by side, the speakers on the 24 plus absolutely break my heart. I've always loved the deep and bassy speakers on the 23 plus, they were my favorite part of the phone. The 24 speakers lack any depth and sound so incredibly cheap to me, it physically hurts my ears playing any music at higher volumes. How a company could feel this was a good decision trully shocks me, $1000 for this is just unacceptable. Sorry for the quick rant but someone might find this info helpful in the long run.

It definitely has to do with the new speakers that Samsung brought-in for the S24. It's honestly a downgrade and I'm having the worst crackling issue when on phone calls and it's driving me nuts.

Makes me not wanna trade my galaxy20 note ultra. In yet, I'll wait for the next generation to get one. My phone still works like it did when I got it. It's awesome. I wish they would start paying attention to how good iPhone sound is compared Android sound.
