Received the watch yesterday.

Got it from best buy, refurbished.

It had a 45% change when I fired it up.

After about an hour it turned off.

Didn't really think anything of it.

Put it on the charger and waited but an hour.

I noticed there was an update, ran it installed fine.

Left it on the charger overnight, turned off.

When I looked at it in the morning it had a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it.

Turned to watch on to find it only charged 80%.

Now when I put it on the charger it does not pass 80%.

Turn it back on and still will not charge past 80%.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Sounds like the protect battery feature. Charging your devices up to 80% helps it last longer over time. There should be an option to turn it off in settings.

It's been at 80% for one hour and 40 minutes.
What you're saying seems right because when I pull it off the charger it says charging paused.
Looking for the settings you're talking about I found under battery "learning your usage patterns."
Maybe I'll wait for a few days and see what happens before I go full panic and want to send this watch back.
Thanks for replying it helped a lot.

Nope send it back. That's a faulty unit because there isn't a battery protect for the watches (as far as u can remember)

You might be right it's the next day it still says 80% and it still says that it's configuring for my usage.

Watch said it was 80% changed all day...

Then died.

Been charging it for three hours.

It's stuck at 60% now.

Something is wrong with this watch.

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with your watch not charging past 80% and would be happy to look into this further for you. Charging your device is second nature, and you may not think about it often. But that doesn’t mean you should neglect your smartwatch when it needs some extra juice. Your Samsung smartwatch can be charged using convenient charging docks that are available directly through Samsung if you ever lose or misplace the one that came in the box. Some watch models can also use the Wireless power-sharing feature, which allows you to use your Galaxy phone to charge your watch.

Note: It is recommended to use only Samsung brand charging accessories when charging your smartwatch. Give this link a try to make sure you are using the proper charger as well as the connection is correct: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00088982/

If you are using the appropriate charger and are still experiencing these symptoms, I would recommend reaching out to the retailer where you purchased your device or setting your device up for service.
