Galaxy watch 6 battery drain and watch screen freezing after update

Is anyone having any problems after the latest update to the galaxy watch 6? I had an update last weekend and since then, it seems that my watch battery drains faster, and I've had 3 instances where my screen stopped responding (the buttons still worked), and I had to force a reboot to get the screen to begin responding again. Any input? Software says "System version 13, Wear OS 4."

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your frustration with the battery drain and having to reboot your watch due to the screen becoming unresponsive after the update.

 

If the watch screen is slow to respond, frozen, or not responding at all the issue could be caused by outdated software, a third party app, or even the watch's physical condition. Unclean hands, optional accessories, gloves, and sharp objects can also prevent the screen from responding properly. You can also try changing up the mobile network connection settings to help with battery drain issues. To do this, Swipe down > Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Auto

Yes I have the same problem with my screen not responding. I had to reboot several times, still do to get my screen to work.

Same here. My screen will not and is Still not responding unless I force restart the watch! I call Samsung. They said no one has this problem but me! They wanted me to factory reset my watch but I said No. Stupid update that ruins a good watch. Fix this **bleep** Samsung!!!

Let me know what they came up with this time to solve this problem. What really makes me mad is they act like they're not aware of this problem! Today, again, I had to force restart my watch6 3 times in order to use a few functions on my watch. They should fix this problem NOW with a new software update. I will call them again tomorrow. We should all do.

Same here. Every time I place the watch on the charger. When I take it off the charger the screen is frozen. Sorry buttons work but not to touch screen. I have to perform a hard restart to get it going again.

Let the battery adjust, it typically takes up to a week.

Yes I'm having the same issues. Screen touch stops working after taking it off the charger. I have to restart the watch/reboot the watch to get it going again

I have the same problem on watch 6 since software update. Screen responded for a short period of time after reboot but then locks up.
