Wondering if anyone has had success adding this to their cellular service plan? I was told by Xfinity (Verizon towers) that the watch isn't compatible.

When I read the guidelines and look at Samsung website, everything aligns and should be compatible.

I'm thinking something is wrong on their end, maybe because of how soon I have the watch and they are still doing pre orders for watches sold through Xfinity.

Update: myself and others are in contact with Xfinity mobile specialist awaiting a response to this problem.

First person told me I need to buy a watch from them. 2nd person told me I need an update. Samsung said it won't work until It is included in an update.

Per a rep in the xfinity store today: Not compatible wait a week for an update. It's not in their system.

I actually haven't been able to switch my flip 3 to my flip in Xfinity. Thankfully the SIM works in the 5 and that is all that matters but when using the xfinity device activation wizard it's failing for my new flip 5 and my watch 6.

I had all sorts of problems trying to activate mine on T-mobile. Samsung's chat bots and the techs I spoke with gave no meaningful help, and often just made up different excuses, depending on who I talked with. Finally I just reset my S22 Ultra and restored it from back ups, and then the watch installed within minutes. It turned out to be something in the cache on the phone and not the watch. It took me three days to figure that out with no help from either Samsung or T-mobile, but it's all working now.

Not sure this is a Xfinity issue versus a Samsung issue but if you are trying to activate via Xfinity and having trouble you might want to try submitting their SVP Experience form.

I got a reply back from Tom's office at xfinity. Here is a little snippet. Hoping they can do something but it's feeling more and more like Samsungs issue if all providers are having a hard time.

"Here’s what I’ll do, I’ll be elevating this matter to our Xfinity Mobile Escalations Team, they have the ability to expedite a resolution to matters such as this."

After my wife and mom got contacted for issues activating my watch I finally got ahold of Derek fro. The expert resolution center. Derek told me directly from Corp they don't support BYOD for the watch 6 or watch 6 classic. They had a similar problem with the last apple watch and it took 3-4 months to enable that with BYOD but they don't have an ETA at this time. He said just keep checking the compatibility checker periodically for updates.

A friend who ordered the watch also is now getting replies from xfinitys executive team. So they are definitely starting to see this issue.
