Galaxy watch 6 cellular service through Xfinity

Wondering if anyone has had success adding this to their cellular service plan? I was told by Xfinity (Verizon towers) that the watch isn't compatible. 

When I read the guidelines and look at Samsung website, everything aligns and should be compatible. 

I'm thinking something is wrong on their end, maybe because of how soon I have the watch and they are still doing pre orders for watches sold through Xfinity. 

Update: myself and others are in contact with Xfinity mobile specialist awaiting a response to this problem.

I have been trying all week to get my watch 6 classic activated with xfinity. The end result is them trying to sell me the watch I already have or telling me to go to the store. I haven't made the trip to the store yet.

According to Samsung , in time they will support Xfinity but not right now without an update needed.

Xfinity keeps saying it's not compatible

Samsung told me Xfinity will not support the watch purchased from Samsung right away, but with an update they WILL be compatible.

Samsung recommended to either go to Verizon or ATT or wait for the update.

FYI I just tried Verizon, same issue signing up for a pre-paid plan.

Wow that sucks. How is xfinity even selling the watch then?

I'm assuming it's coming with a different set of software. Not sure

I didn't get anywhere when talking with Samsung last night. Glad you at least got a semi logical albeit annoying answer. I assume they didn't have any ETA for the update?
