My watch 4 won't charge

I need help. My watch won't seem to charge. Whenever I put it on the charger it restarts and then doesn't charge. At one point the previous evening it seemed to be charging but it stopped and now it's doing this. Now it's basically dead. Any advice any help?

Maybe turn it off and the chatge it, use reverse wireless charging, or change the charger

Thank you. Tried charging when it's off then it only would get up to 2% and fizzle out. I will try another charger that could be it. Thanks for advice.

You might have to change the battery. If you live near a UBreakit they can swap out the battery.

Never heard of them but I'll remember that. I guess batteries and chargers are imperfect and don't last forever.
