Can't say WHY you're getting the rash, but I also wasn't able to use the "rubber" band my galaxy watch came with. I had the same reaction when I just had a Fitbit. Buying a cloth, metal, or regular leather/pleather band from Amazon might help.
Do you wear any other metal jewelry? Have you had negative reactions to like cheap earrings or necklaces? If it's from the back of the actual watch, you may have a sensitivity to the metal. Nickel sensitivity is pretty common.
