When setting up a contact tile, it only allows you to select one number for contact whereas in the past you were able to add multiple numbers per contact
Hello, I'm still having the same issue with adding multiple numbers for the same contact in contact cards on the watch. My software version is now ZXI8. Will this be addressed in a later build? Thanks.
Thank you for following up. I was able to test on my watch, and I am able to add multiple tiles for the same contact with multiple numbers. Can you please tell me how many tiles you have set up on your watch?
I only have one car contact card setup but when I try to add a second number for the same contact it just switches to that number and doesn't add another entry. I tested this on our friends watch was just running the release version of the software is watches to watch five also and it works fine so I don't know what's going on with my watch.
Have you actually tried adding the second number in the contacts app on the *phone*? The phone informs the watch. Especially if your contacts are stored on your phone or SIM card, rather than in Google contacts. I suspect that if the contact is stored on your phone, you will not be able to edit on the watch, since you can't have parts of a contact stored in different locations. I edit all my contacts either on the phone or in Google contacts, because I can't be bothered with the little watch screen. All edits carry over to the watch.
I use Google contacts for all my contacts and I have both numbers in the contact entry however my problem is that I can only select one number to go into contact tile at a time instead of adding two numbers one for each entry in the contact tile
It appears the contact tile only allows for adding your 4 most frequently contacted people. I believe it uses the primary number as the contact phone. The contacts *app*, however, does show all the numbers for the contact, so you would be able to select which number to call from the app. It seems weird, one should be able to add the entire contact app as a tile.
One would assume, that by putting your frequent contacts on a tile for quick access, one would use the primary number.
I have not found the tile to be useful, as by the time I scroll to it, I may as well swipe up, open the contacts app and select my contact. Your needs may differ.
