As the subject and location suggests, my watch during the middle of a workout has started repeatedly pausing the workout and saying "Seems like you've stopped. Finish workout?" And it does not matter how much I'm moving, how high my heart rate is, or how many times I tell it to resume. The watch did not do this last month and it does not matter what workout I'm doing. Whether I'm walking, running, lifting weights, rowing, doing a dynamic workout, about every 20 seconds to 2 minutes this notification pops up.

I've done everything I can from restarting the watch, resetting the watch, checking for updates, going into each exercise choice and turning off "Auto Pause", going into the settings and turning off "Activities to detect" on both the phone Samsung Health app and in the watch. I've even called Samsung tech support and the man I talked to was saying that it must be an app causing it but i've turned off all app notifications except messaging apps.

The only thing I can think that might be going on is I cannot change "Auto detect workouts" in the Advanced option of the Samsung Health app settings.

I need help.

The watch is a Samsung 6 paired to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

I'm not necessarily worried about using the auto-detect feature of the watch, so much as I am not wanting the watch to auto stop my workouts when I have turned every "auto" setting off already.

I do have tattoos on my left wrist/forearm. However, they had played no role prior to the beginning of April when I'd been using the watch, without any issue, as a fitness tracker also.

I will try putting my phone in safe mode next time to see if it still auto stops the workouts. Thank you for the suggestion!

This has nothing to do with auto detect... It is like an "auto stop" function Wich is sĆŗper annoying... I do weight training and whenever I'm taking a rest between reps..I get this message and the workout stops until I manually resume... There should be a option to manually stop the workouts....

It's paired to an S22 Ultra.
I have tattoos, but they don't interfere.
Safe mode or even not paired doesn't effect it.
This is an issue that started with a somewhat recent update. My watch has suggested I'm done working out 5 times within 30 seconds.
This is a software issue that needs to be resolved.

Attempted a weight training and a run/cardio session today. Both stopped within 30 seconds of starting the "workout session" on the watch. Also attempted it in safe mode as suggested and same issue.

As stated earlier, I have auto detected turned OFF so it will STOP auto detecting but it still does.

I agree with others that this seems to be a software related issue.

Omg!!! This is NOT a tattoo issue. It is NOT an auto pause issue. It is NOT an auto detect issue. IT IS A SOFTWARE ISSUE. What is wrong with you people? Fix this. We need an update to either get rid of this stupid notification entirely or have an actual way to turn it off. It has happened to me 7 times in 10 minutes WHILE ACTIVELY LIFTING WEIGHTS. FIX THIS AND STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO RESET THEIR WATCHES.

Yeah, same here.....  it is so annoying and now the watch has become close to the worst smart watch to do exercises.there should be a option to manually stop the workout..... I'm really hating this ...

I swim in my pool as often as I can. Since the last update, though, it quickly stops counting lengths* and pauses with a message about me not swimming. I mean, this happens as I am swimming! Given that the watch (I have a Watch 6 Classic) automatically goes into water lock mode, I literally have to stop, turn off the water lock, press resume, and turn back on the water lock to continue my laps. Surely this isn't working as intended!

This is more than annoying. It's making using the watch for swimming almost useless.

*Speaking of lengths, whose bright idea was it to make the minimum for lengths be 2 laps? It's almost as bad as the minimum pool size being 20 meters. Sorry - but my pool ain't that big (and no one I know has a pool that big in their backyard).

So I found an old post that mentioned turning off "Auto pause" under settings (on the watch, although the instructions weren't clear). I found that setting only under walking, not pool swim. Hope someone @Samsung_Moderator will help with this.

It's definitely not an auto pause issue. I've turned off all that stuff and it still happens. I'm about to throw this piece of garbage watch into the street amd run it over. šŸ˜¤
