No disc in the player but it is continually cycling on and off, also when accessing menu on my TV...I had to unplug it to stop it. I see other posts say this is solved but there is no solution posted that I have seen. What gives? Is there some kind of expired cert on this? Please provide a solution or admit what the problem is...

since June 17 I have an issue with my home theater Ht-j5500. It reboots without stopping without necessarily turning off, that is to say when I put myself on the home theater page the Samsung logo appears and then arrives the main menu of the home and then back to the Samsung logo and so on. The global, several HT are impacted from different models and in different countries. All indicate that this is a major problem. Is there a solution on your part to fix it.

3 days ago on my faithful Samsung HT-J5550W eternal load/reset bug.

I am a faithful long time Samsung client.
Fix asap, no cost for us costumers or I won't be anymore one of your costumer for sure.

HT-J5530 3D blue ray home theater system stuck in boot loop. Keeps trying to load DVD. Cant get into menu. No sound. Menu keeps poping up on/off/on....Samsung support acknowledged that it is an issue. Suggested firmware upgrade via USB but it does not recognize USB. Need help. This is less than 2 year old

Samsung please help. I have an LG 10 year old home theater system still works like charm. Samsung is better than LG. I have started to doubt myself now.

I also have now a useless dvd player until Samsung finds out how to either fix it, or send me a replacement unit.  Obviously the solution is not yet there, and I agree the green check mark indicating a solution is there on the main thread, should be honestly removed.  This sounds like a good case for our state attorney general to follow up on, rather than having to wait years for a class action lawsuit on our behalf.

Anyway, I came across a tip in that thread to get your DVD out if it is still stuck inside.  I was in the process of figuring out how to take the unit apart until I came across this.  Don't know who it was that reported it as that message is now lost for me but....

While unit is power cycling, use the remote to eject the disk.  Mine only has a symbol on it that indicates the eject function, but it matches the symbol on the eject button on the unit so that might help identify it.  Also repeatedly press, and hold the remote level with the unit so it cas see the signal.  This worked for me and I thank the first person that mentioned it in the other thread.

Either Samsung was attacked with malicious code in their update, or someone screwedup really bad.

They have had several DAYS to resolve this and all we get is told to WAIT.

This issue may not be their fault, but they are handling it VERY BADLY and I think a class action suit would be a good idea! Please let us know what your State Attourney comes up with; they need to act responsibly rather than this attitude of "take the $$ and run".

It's absolutely their fault. If they were hacked, this is a massive impact that could be avoided with security. If this was a bad certificate, keeping it up to date isn't hard.
