@users7uH5pW6vYPlease remove the disc from the unit. Turn it on and then hold down the Eject button on the player for 8 seconds. Please let us know if this changes anything.
Tried this. Didn't work. My issue started tuesday 23-6-2020.
I just ordered the new Bluray disc of K.Reeves' latest film #3. Played it once, then turned it off. Came back the day after and put in the 2nd complimentary disc, no issues until the disc was loading, and the home screen started blinking rapidly. I was lucky enough to hit the eject button, and get the disc out before the loop set in. My device is the "Samsung bd j5700" not old but not young, but this new disc was a Bluray so compatibility issues aren't an issue here. Right? Or is some new code in the disc set to 'brick' my setup?

Home TheaterAre you able to see the menu and current software version? Please provide the full model code and the current software version of the device.

Home TheaterReally bizarre. My BD - JM57C is doing the same thing. No issues last night. I can't even eject the disc because it quickly turns off. Just to turn back on again. Unplugging for an extended time didn't work. Holding down the power button, eject button and both together resulting in no improvements.

Home TheaterSame issue here.
I got the disk out by unplugging , holding power for 20 secs, then plugging back in and hitting eject.
My system is still not working though.

Home TheaterBelow is a piece that you rotate and open the drawer with the disc. I have the same problem, but that way you can get your disc.

Home TheaterI don't know about anyone else, but I cannot even get mine to stay on long enough to get the software version.
We have two units and have the second one (the one that is still working) temporarily disconnected from the internet.

Home TheaterYeah, same... my first one turned on for the Samsung logo to appear on screen and the main menu to show up for about one second. Then it would shut off, rinse, repeat.
However, my second one doesn't even get to the logo. I get a greenish glitchy screen, then it resets. On, off, on, off, the loop ensues.

No, it doesn't stay on long enough to see or do anything. Or at least, it didn't while it was still staring--after following your suggestion to unplug, wait, Replug it won't start at all.
