I've had a Samsung Home Theater System model HT-BD1250 for a couple of years now. Recently, it has begun turning itself off moments after startup. It will do this three or four times, then stay on. It has never done this before. I am sure overheating is not the issue, as it only occurs when I first turn it on and the unit is cold, and it is in a well-ventilated area.  I did recently get a new cable box from Comcast, but I don't think that is the problem. The cable box is model XG1v4-A. Any help will be appreciated.

Why did you mark this as "solved?" It is not solved. Further, I don't think the problem lies with the DVD player. I have found that if I either disconnect the HDMI cable between the DVD player and the TV, or turn on the TV first and wait about 15 to 20 seconds, the problem does not occur. This indicates that for reasons unknown, the television has started sending a message to the DVD player when it is first turned on that turns off the DVD player.  It did not used to do this. Also, I have tried turning on the TV and then waiting, but the DVD player does not come on by itself. Any thoughts?
