Home TheaterIām experiencing the same issue with my HW-Q990D soundbar. It automatically updated through the SmartThings app yesterday and then suddenly stopped working. Now, I can only turn it on and off, none of the other buttons respond. In the SmartThings app, it appears offline, but I can still check the firmware version, which shows 1020.7. Iāve tried all the recommended solutions, including resetting the soundbar, but nothing worked. I also contacted Samsungās chat support. We went through all the reset steps together, but the issue persisted. Theyāve escalated the case, and Iām currently waiting for their response.

I am busy on more forums with this. Mine also broken but in Netherlands there is somebody who did the update on the exact day the firmware was on Samsung website. So before over air auto update. His system is still working. Seems to be the over air update is not fully going OK so now we have a broken soundbar.
If they find a way the downloadable firmware will be install over the original broken software via service port than it should be possibly solved...

Home TheaterFor you and anyone else wondering. I also have the same issue 990D. It happend on Monday. After trying all the fixes I didn't bother calling support I just went straight onto the online system to report the fault as it's under warranty.
I had a call on Tuesday from the 3rd party Samsung use for repairs. They picked the soundbar up on Thursday.
I had a call from Samsung on Friday to update me on what is happening.
The 3rd party has had to order a new mainboard to fix the issue.

Home TheaterHey guys, my Q990D bricked last night with exactly the same issue, I got a message from 'Smart Things' saying "hub disconnected" I spent 2hrs with a Samsung chat tech this morning and nothing he did worked, I have an engineer coming out. If you haven't already I would suggest you start a ticket for repair. I'm in the UK :united_kingdom:

Home TheaterSame issue here, since yesterday my Q990D has become unresponsive. Reset doesn't work, device is offline and my SmartThings app can't get it back online. It can find the device but when trying to add the device to the app, it says the device needs to be switched on to continue (but the device has been switched on the whole time and switching it off and back on doesn't do anything)

Home TheaterDevice was working up until 3/12/2025. Will not connect with any source. Attempted to reset with volume + and - without success. INIT never appears. Unplugged for 10 mins and replugged with no change. Message on marquee is looped - TV ARC. Attempted in manual update through USB with latest firmware from Samsung, with no reaction when plugging into device. Samsung TV does not see device appear when scanning for connection. Remote can only turn device on and off, other buttons have no effect. Hope this is escalated and resolved soon.

Home TheaterAfter contact with Samsung Poland, They told me, i had to take back the soundbar to the service center for repair.
