Since the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.

Facing the same issue, brand new Q990D bricked after the 1020.7 update (India).

Today, March 15th, My Q990 Sound Bar crashed. I just bought it February 2nd, and paid over $1500.00 for it.
Its only showing the following messages:

ON
HDMI- E-Arc 
and Bye

Thatā€™s  it. Nothing else works either by using the remote or using the buttons on the Sound Bar.

i called customer service several times, they were worthless, completely worthless. The only solution they had was to tell me they would open a ticket, so they could send me a usps label so I can send my Soundbar back to Samsung.

I didnā€™t pay the kind of money I paid on a Soundbar just to send it back to the company after only one month of use. FK that! I also bought a big screen Samsung tv, and Iā€™m going to send both of these Items back to Target and Amazon and get my money back.

Thank goodness I found this link, thereā€™s thousands of customers in the same situation Iā€™m in.

Iā€™ve never purchased electronic equipment from Samsung, they came highly recommended, wow, itā€™s been a nightmare and a pain in the Buttocks experience with them. Just a horrible experience with Samsung!

Please read below all the comments from other upset Samsung Q990d Sound Bar Customers. 
I could see this turning into a class action lawsuit fast.

Same problem here in Germany on the Q990D. Since friday the soundbar does not respond anymore.

I'm from Argentina and my Q990D is also affected by this. TV earc stuck and does nothing else after this **bleep**g update. Samsung Argentina support is the worst in the world so I don't know how to deal with this anymore, they won't take it nor repair it, they don't even understand english and don't get the issue from the different forums, reddit and post from users. I'm never buying a Samsung product again, this is utter bs. Samsung Argentina is a scam, and because of this firmware it feels like they just stole my money.

Bro, this soundbar is nothing but a brick after this update. I have literally tried everything and scoured the depths of tech tips, even the dark web couldnā€™t help. Guess Iā€™m off to buy a new soundbar while we wait for some kinda response from Samsung. What a joke!

I have contacted Samsung support and they asked me to check power cable and swap the socket. What a bunch of jokers šŸ¤”

W Polse coraz więcej zgłoszeń na forach dyskusyjnych, pojawiają się także artykuły na temat nieudolnej pomocy telefonicznej Samsunga i udawaniu, że nic o globalnej wtopie nie wiedzą. W moim przypadku nie działa 930d.

Mam zgłoszenie gwarancyjne zrobione, mają odebrać sprzęt do serwisu. Jednak zastanawiam się czy wysyłać, bo może na dniach pojawi się instrukcja producenta jak dokonać domowej naprawy, o ile to w ogĆ³le będzie możliwe. Jeśli nie będzie możliwa aktualizacja we własnym zakresie czekają Samsunga gigantyczne koszty wysyłek i napraw.

Jeśli ktoś zna sposĆ³b jak w domowych warunkach przywrĆ³cić poprzednią wersję oprogramowania soundbara proszę o informacje.
