Home Theaterrighty as thereās no official response by Samsung on this matter. If I do not receive my escalated call, regarding my right to a replacement under the U.K. Consumer Rights Act 2015. I will be going to the U.K. National Papers and also exercising my right to raise a card dispute to my card issuer to ensure Iāll get my money back. Should this poxy company unable to sort b their crappy mess out.
This means Fākd Samsung, return āBrickedā Soundbar to retailer.

Home TheaterYou are absolutely right. The retailer under the 2015 Act is fully responsible for repairing or replacing the product not the manufacturer. They should sort out the problem for you in good time and then fight it out with Samsung for the mess that they have caused.

Home TheaterThis is absolute **bleep**. Is firmware really not tested before sending out and bricking tens of thousands of units?

Home TheaterSamsung's software side consistently excercises bad practices. Phone side is one, but there were sign of the current episode making a month or so ago. The update bricked both my Q995D and LS60D (music frame). A month ago my LS60D was unusable for a day, because Smart things wouldn't let me use it without updating Music Frame applet in the Smart Things... There however wasn't any update and it took them day to fix the error and add that actual applet update. I very much suspect they don't to proper larger beta testing with updates or make sure that update process is handled correctly like any proper developer would.

Home TheaterI do believe XM indicates some model for Asia/Malaysia. Don't think there's any difference between the actual one.

Home Theater"small number of customers"
That's it, the straw that broke the camels back. They can't even be honest. This has clearly affected thousands of people, we're just the ones to kick up a fuss and Google it. Horrible, lazy, dishonest, greedy faceless company.
Last Samsung purchase ever.
