3 Door Fridge Broken NO Help from Samsung

My fridge has been broken for a week. I paid for a local technician to fix it because the 3rd party technician that Samsung wanted to send out would take 5 days to get to my house. The technician figured out what part was faulty but couldn't find it anywhere in town and suspects that only a Samsung rep can get the part because they couldn't find any parts related to this fridge or newer models. I kept my original appointment with the 3rd party technician, and learned that I will be another week without a fridge. I understand that the servicer is busy fixing other Samsung fridges, but I cannot wait another week. I have medication, **bleep** milk, family lunches/dinner etc. I don't understand why they can't offer loaner fridges, mini-fridges, or the ability to allow other local repair shops access to parts. I won't ever buy another Samsung product again, I have been disappointed and stressed that I will now have to replace a $2000 medication.

Have you looked at samsungparts.com to see if the part is available?  Is the door not functioning properly in that it won't close and the fridge temperature won't hold?

Don't know of any appliance or company doing a loaner device on repairs

It’s usually covered under the year warranty but I am 1 month past the warranty and Lowe’s won’t budge

Warranty repair is different than them or anyone providing a loaner while you wait I would say very rare thing but keep on them to get repaired

Hey communityuser334 first of all, welcome to the community. What is wrong with your unit? Maybe we can try some troubleshooting steps to get it corrected. Samsung does not offer loaners but would love to get your unit up and running as soon as possible.

 

Since you had someone look at, we would like to gather additional information, and look at this from a case by case basis, please provide the full model code and serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.
