I bought a home 2 years ago with this cooktop.  Today I was cooking using the flex burner and the main burner.  Never had an issue before.  Then I smelled burning.  I opened the cabinet beneath it and there was smoke.  Smelled electrical. But the smoke didn't look to be coming from the wired conduit or the power box. But the underneath of the cooktop.  What could this be?

A fire hazard that needs immediate service.

Sounds like a electric component blew inside the cook top and needs repaired I would suggest turning the breaker off for the cook top and contacting support and having it checked out
