Multiple notifications for every event from smart range

I recently purchased a Samsung range (model NE63A6711SS/AA) and I have it connected to SmartThings. Notifications for the range are great except that every event sends 4 notifications to my phone! I turned notifications off for now but I am hoping that someone can explain to me what I need to change so that I only get 1 notification per event.

Thanks good to know. I have not used the Smart app yet deciding if its worth upgrading to the $14.99  premium lifetime subscription.
