LED and OLED TVsAm trying to set up my new TV in the Smart things app however since it hasn't been set-up previously no wifi is connected to it and the app won't pick it up. Is there any other way I can 'add device' into the app so I can do the initial set-up?

LED and OLED TVsIn order for you to add the Samsung TV to Smart Things, both the TV and phone need to be connected to the same Wifi network and signed into your Samsung account. You cannot add the TV until you add a Wifi network to your TV.

LED and OLED TVsHello @madskier! Thank you for reaching! To be able to get this set up the TV will need to be connected to Wi-Fi. Unfortunately if you do not have the remote you will not be able to set this up. You can purchase a new one from samsungparts.com. After you have the remote you can use the link below to get this set up.
