LED and OLED TVsGreetings,
I have a Samsung QN90AA 50 Tv and YouTube TV. Up until last night it had worked for some years.
Now there is no video or sound. The guide shows up and all the settings tabs and so on. There is even the option to resume a previously viewed show and I can click on that.
No video at all. It is stuck on a black screen with the little circle spinning.
If I click on the resume show windows, there is a commercial for some 3 minutes. The commercial video shows. No problem. there little timer is there to show the 3 minutes going by. Then upon completion, the screen goes black with the spinning circle.
I have done the following: power recycle, reinstall, clear cache, delete Smart Hub and reset to factory specs. No change.
In looking at the nerd information there is NO "Network Activity" The connection speed shows as well as the buffer health.
Also, YouTube TV works fine on my Samsung S21, desktop, laptop, tablet and Roku device. No problem.
The Samsung TV is connected via hardware to the router. There is WiFi also. Tried both connections. Just in case there was a hard wire issue. Zero luck there.
Up until now, there was not any issue. Download speed is about 120 Mps and upload is about 60 Mps.

LED and OLED TVsI am not sure if I have forgotten anything, but I have done as follows:
1) power cycled Samsung TV. Hold down power button until it reboots
2) Unplugged the TV. Waited a few minutes. Plug in
3) unplugged modem, and router. Waited a few minutes, plug in modem, wait, then router
4) cleared cache on TV
5) reset Apps on TV
6) Factory reset TV. Installed info form backup
7) Factory reset Tv. NO install from backup...start from scratch as if I just bought the TV.
š Uninstall, reinstall YouTube TV multiple times in between the above.
In looking at the Data for Nerds section, there is no network activity. On my computer, I see spikes of network activity. that is the only difference.
I should also mention that the progress bar shows and when I move back more than a few minutes, the thumbnail for the video at that moment shows as usual. If I click at the time where the thumbnail shows, still no video streaming.
Lastly, if I go to the Library and play something that was being recorded, the requisite commercials are up front. the videos play as they normally do for three minutes, then the stream is supposed to start...nothing.
Everything works except the stream. Guide shows up, thumbnails, library storage, etc.
Just no TV

LED and OLED TVsI power cycled the modem, router, switch, and the TV.
My setup is a cable modem attached to the router and then to a 24 port switch.
I converted all my phone jacks to RJ-45 plugs since the house is Cat 5 wired. The house was built in the times of dial up satellite so there is a phone jack behind it. The TV is hard wired.
As a lark however, I turned off all the wired and tried to connect via Wi-Fi in the house. Just in case.
Same issue. No resolve.
For two years of having YouTube TV, there was never a problem. Until now.
No firmware upgrade. No new installations. Nothing of which I am aware.
It is quite puzzling to say the least.

LED and OLED TVsOne last thing before yoou call your ISP and ask them to set Your TV to a higher priority. I assume you will meed the MAC Address for that.
But before you do that, turn off the other devices on the network and do the Modem/Router/Switch power cycle again. In today's world of IOT etc it may be that your system is overloaded..... Just a Wag but once you do this I can't think of anything else a user can do so you should resort to calling your ISP, which is what Samsung tech support will ask ou to do.

LED and OLED TVsShort of turning off the house appliances, do you think I can disconnect the 24 port switch and just try the TV directly into the router, or better yet, straight into the modem? There would be no firewall with a direct modem plugin, but it would be the TV at risk and not a computer.

LED and OLED TVsYes, try disconnecting the switch, then power cycling the router again, then plug the TV into that. If that doesn't work go into the router and turn off Wifi as well.

LED and OLED TVsWell, I disconnected everything and plugged just the TV into the router then restarted the cable modem and router. No luck. rest the TV to factory settings. No luck.
Next, I plugged the TV directly into the cable modem. No router. Recycled the modem. No luck. Sent a signal from COX to restart the modem. Nothing. Reset the TV to factory specs. Nothing.
Still the same issue.
Also, with each incarnation of trouble shooting, I send feedback information to YouTube TV. There must some fifteen to twenty feedbacks I have sent them.
It still seems like there is some firewall type of block.

LED and OLED TVsWhy would his ISP need to do anything to the TV? The TV streams every other app flawlessly. It is exclusive to YouTube live tv. Even the commercials in the app run. What could your ISP possibly do that would cause one function on one app to not work?

LED and OLED TVsFor some reason the Samsung TV is blocking the data. I do not think it is the ISP.
Try going to the Nerd Settings and take a look and compare to the same view on your computer or Roku (or equivalent). The Network Activity and Live Latency are zero.
