I have a 55" UN50NU7100DFXZA that inconsistently expands the picture beyond the boundries of the frame. The problem seems to relate to local broadcast channels and nothing corrects it. A few local channels are ok. These are all fed from Comcast. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

@otherm Thank you for using the Samsung Member's Community. I'd gladly likely to assist you with your question.

On your Samsung Television Remote

1. Press "Settings"
2. Press "Ok" to Enter "Picture Settings"
3. Tab down to "Picture Size Settings"
4. Check to see that "Fit To Screen" is turned ON/OFF

***Note: That while viewing content under 720p the picture will not fill the entire screen. You will notice this on 480p content***

If you are using a Video Game console or other External Device with Input Signal Plus enabled. You can change the "Fit To Screen" Settings to ON/OFF

The "Fit To Screen" in your case would be suggested to be ON for anything above 720p. This will adjust the picture so it fits to your Screen Size

I hope that you have found my answer to be satisfactory. Once again Thank you for using the Samsung Member's Community. Thank you for your question as well.

On your Samsung Televison Remote Press "Info" Tell me what the Screen Resolution say's it is.

Please also note that stations Broadcasting in 480p will and does change the picture size of the content. That's on their end. That's why you can be viewing the same channel. Some content fills the screen, and at other times it doesn't. Even on the same channel!

While viewing stations with a 480p Television Signal "Fit To Screen" is Grayed Out!
