Brand new NEO QLED QN85D. Worked fine upon power on. Then the software update. V 1301 When it restarted after the update very dim and blotchy, certain areas even flickering. tried factory reset twice. Tried about every setting and diagnostic. Tried all the various suggestions online. Worked with support no resolution. they were going to dispatch onsite support.
Thennnn powered on the device using a game console. Works fine. Turned off and powered on with regular remote, same dim blotchy mess. Tried again with external streaming stick, works.
My advice is either this workaround, or avoid software V 1301 until itās fixed. Apparently there is no way to roll back a faulty update.
Should have according to who? Factory reset results in same software version afterwards. Samsung tech support also said noway to rollback a software update. I gave up and am returning the TV. Samsung should test their software a little better before release clearly.
Had mine for 2 days. Kept getting soft ware service setting . Returned and got an LG. Not going to be stuck with an expensive tv that has noted software problems.
