I purchased a QN85Q80TAFXZA from Bestbuy June of 2020 for approximately $3,300. I have had no issues with it until last week when a large rectangular shadow appeared on the bottom left of the screen. I scheduled Geek Squad to come diagnose, but once I described the issue, the technician determined it most likely need a screen/panel replacement, at the cost of $1,700 including parts and labor.
Is it reasonable that the panel in a $3,300 TV, that is not even 5 years old would fail? Samsung service offered me nothing since it was out of warranty.
As someone who has bought Samsung TVs exclusively for nearly 20 years, I am extremely disappointed that they won't stand behind their product, and I find it difficult to support them in the future.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
