I just want to use it as a monitor for my AppleTV, and as the conduit for my soundbar. I use my apps inside AppleTV - I am deeply embedded into the Apple ecosystem - and don't want to see all the apps and TV options from Samsung, which are useless to me. My old Samsung TV was great, but I hate this screen with all the options. I don't NEED any options! I just want to use my AppleTV, and occasionally my Sony PlayStation.

I hope someone can help, because it's such a waste of time the way it's set up.

Thanks,

Jonathan

What year is your Frame? I believe in the TV Settings, there's an option to turn off "Start with Smart Hub Home".

THANK YOU SO MUCH! That completely solved my problem. I have spent so much time fuming about that irritating opening screen.

I have to say, a lot of the OS is not at all intuitive. If you just want to turn off the TV screen so you can listen to music without having the screen glowing away on the wall, you have to dive into all sorts of sub-menus before simply turning off the picture. Ridiculously complicated.
