QLED and The Frame TVs
I'm going start this post by voicing my displeasure with this situation. I'm extremely displeased. Here's the situation. I had to replace my 65" curved television (UN65NU7300FXZA) after about only 5 years because the picture developed a huge, black vertical line. See pictures. However, that's not the issue. I replaced it with a QN75Q70DAFXZA 75" QLED TV. The soundbar that I had connected to the old TV is a HW-R450/ZA. I tried to connect it to the new TV using the optical cable, which was the same way I had it connected to the old TV. The TV did not recognize it. I decided to use the bluetooth function instead. Here's the problem. The TV constantly stops providing audio to the soundbar. When that happens, I have to press the home button on the remote, then select the recent tab on the home screen. When I return to what I was watching, the audio has returned. It doesn't matter what platform I am viewing. It does it on all of them. It goes out multiple times during the viewing of any program. I've even had to go into the settings and "forget" the bluetooth connection and set it up again. This is very disruptive to my enjoyment of what I am viewing. Needless to say, I spent over $1,200.00 on this TV and I expect to be able to get through a movie without a disruption in the audio connection. Before I try to return the TV, I was hoping someone from Samsung can tell me if others have this issue and how I can remedy it. Thank you.

Have you tried connecting the two via HDMI using the earc port in the TV? That would be much more reliable.

Thanks for the tip. However, the soundbar has only optical, USB, and AUX inputs. I never had a single issue with the optical cable on my old TV. I'd prefer that method, but it won't let me connect that way.
