My phone still auto-restarts on the schedule I had set before the update, I just have no way to change that now. And yes, auto optimization is turned off.
With Android 13 One UI 5 they changed it you are no longer able to schedule restart it is now called Auto Optimization and when toggled on the device will decide when it needs to restart and optimize I have it turned off as I need my phone and can't take the chance of it restarting during the night and I either miss an emergency call from my mother or my alarm not going off since once phone is restarted it needs to be unlocked before receiving any notifications or whatever
They replaced it with auto optimization but I have yet to see a restart automatically since the update. My last auto start was November. This auto optimization hasn't worked. Anyone else? I want the auto restart at select times back. Hey Samsung not everything needs to be tinkered with just for the sake of making an update. This is a downgrade.
I hate auto restart. I miss all types of notification because Android hasn't started due to me not unlocking my device. These phones are way faster than 5-10 yrs ago so manually unlocking and getting started only takes a few minutes.
However, I see what you mean that the ability to select that restart time that WE want is no longer there. I may test it out one day but probably not anytime soon LOL.
