Unable to create custom stickers in Gallery

I'm having an issue creating stickers from the gallery.

In the past, we could long press to get a sticker selection amd then manually edit that selection.

Now however, the ai selection makes it's selection, and we get no option to adjust that selection at all.

(For instance, I wanted just a head selection, but instead it selected the entire object with now option to crop or adjust it.)

Getting some videos posted on how these new tools can be used would be SO helpful, instead of only seeing 50,000 camera shootouts.

You have to do it a little differently now. There was another thread about it. We found a stupid work around.

I played around with it.
You use the AI on a photo
It'll give some options hit the 3 dots
Tap edit.
Edit out what you don't want
Hit next and then save
Above is the options it gives.

Do you mean I have to edit out what I don't want in my sticker, then use the sticker tool to make the sticker?

But what happens to the case I posted? It's not that it selected what I don't want, but didn't select what I want (see the face portion). Maybe I'll have to do it in a much dummer way of increasing the contrast or saturation first to make it more visible to the AI

Sorry for the late reply. This is what I got from the photo you sent me. I am unsure why it's taking the face for you. I didn't have to hit edit to open it to put the face back in.

Oh well, might be an issue for my AI🥲 Seems like my AI is much dummer.

I'm having the same issue, I seems the "answer" doesn't understand the issue. I want to take MY face, where MY eyes are open and replace MY face on another photo where MY eyes are closed, and it takes MY WHOLE BODY. I'm UNABLE to do ANYTHING to deselect my WHOLE body wearing a TSHIRT and transposing it onto my body wearing a tuxedo that I don't feel like spending a thousand dollars to get the photo re-taken

Dear Support!

One UI 6.1 upgrade brought AI to my S23 Ultra as well.

Now, when editing a photo and want to create a custom sticker I am forced to use AI cropping.

I really loved the way it was before the upgrade. I was able to select a shape (round, rectangular, etc..) or even free selection to create my custom sticker, now it is gone.

For example: There is a photo of a couple on the beach. In earlier versions I was able to create a sticker from one of them and insert it in another photo. Now AI identifies both person as the potential sticker and I can not override it at all.

Disabling AI for the Gallery app in Advanced Features > Advanced Intelligence  did not help.

This step was a big downgrade.

How can I re-enable the old sticker editor functions?
