Samsung i love ur messaging app over google messages. It looks better works better with Bixby and is more customizable. Please bring RCS back or to all devices.

Ask your carrier why they dropped support for RCS in Samsung Messages. Those messages were carrier dependent. Google Messages go through Google servers. Did Google pressure the carriers, maybe. Do carriers prefer all RCS Messages to go through Google servers, absolutely. It saves them millions of dollars!

I use Textra, and I absolutely love everything about this app. It also does not support RCS. They actually explained that Google doesn't allow any third party apps to have access to it, and I suspect it applies to Samsung Messages as well. This is a bad practice, IMO. They created it, sure, but they now lock others out of what was supposed to be a universal system. I can't use Google messages. Not that I don't like it, but it lacks some features that I need for my work (related to group messaging), so I accepted the fact I will probably be stuck without RCS for ever.

I don't like google messages cause it lacks customizations. I just think Samsung messages was a great messenger app. But I don't think Samsung is listing to their customers much. Samsung has been getting rid of some great features that are widely used by users.

I honestly don't think Samsung has much say in this. At this time, as far as I know, there is not a single third party app that supports RCS. Google locked everyone out. (Not counting IPhones, of course, not much choice there)

It's basically Google pressuring (adding to their monopoly) the carriers to make Google Messages the only Messaging App to support RCS Messaging I have Spectrum as my carrier and I still have RCS Messaging available via Samsung Messages (knock on wood)
