For real Samsung, why is everything so dificult? I have been sitting here for over an hour trying to back-up my text messages. It says I did but I want to see them. When I search "how to acess my backed up messages"n it tells me how to open the cloud storage. **bleep**, I know how to open it and I know how to read, what I dont know is how to SEE WHAT I HAVE BACKED UP!!! And now I have to wonder, do you even know how to do this? Or maybe its not really getting backed up. This seems to be the theme these days, rabbit hole after rabbit hole. Maybe for tech geeks this is a no brainer, but the "how to" wouldnt apply to them now would it. How about a "see spot run" version of "how-to's" for the less experienced people out here. Every time I think "how difficult can it be" Samsung shows me.

@T-bone03 Sorry but the only way to see the contents of the backup is to "restore" the file to your device. The device will then have the messages contained in the backup.

You can get a messaging backup app in the Play store. I recommend SMS backup and restore. You can schedule backups, you can back up specific conversations and, most importantly, you can easily read them in a text or pdf viewer or in the app itself. You choose the storage location.
