Charging fast charging not wokring

I have a Tab A8. Using either of two appropriate chargers, 15W and 25W, and Fast Charging option enabled, my tab will display Fast Charging for only about 2 seconds then change to just Charging.

That will occur at any point of discharge, even when battery is as low as 2%. 

Is that normal? 

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Yes, it is normal for the fast charging indicator text to disappear shortly after connecting. The tablet should still be charging at its fast charging maximum of 15w.
