Liquid detergent container for my Samsung model ww22k6800aw/a2

Hi, I just bought my neighbors washing machine listed above and it's missing the liquid detergent

container (insert).  I am using tide pods directly in the drum for now but would like to switch to liquid as

it is less expensive.  I have 2 questions:

1.  Can I pour liquid directly into the first (left) slot of tray safely without the liquid detergent insert ?

2. If not, how do I get this insert ?

   A) Yes however it is not recommended because the use of a liquid detergent guide ensures superior performance, reliability, and durability of the appliance. 

2. If not, how do I get this insert ?

   A) you can visit our online parts department at https://samsungparts.com/products/dc61-03510a or by phone at 800-627-4368 to obtain the accurate original Samsung part for the washer.
