A Series & Other MobileYesterday my phone rebooted when I plugged it off from the charger. After the reboot I opened My Files and the phone freezed and rebooted itseld. So, I installed the newest update, but it got worse. The phone now freezes and reboots itself whenever I use My Files, Google Play or open the list of installed apps. It happens in Safe Mode too.
However, when I just use other downloaded apps (e.g., Instagram), everything works fine. I also noticed that 4/5 times when the phone is connected to internet, it reboots after certain amount of time. Sometimes it works fine and I can use other apps while connected to the internet.
The phone memory is totally fine - I copied files from the Internal Storage to my PC and everything works well as usual. Besides that Gallery works as usual with copying and moving picture. I also used Total Commander and it works perfect.
What I have tried already:
- Wiped Partition Cache. Didn't help.
- Deleting My Files using Google Play (it doesn't delete it, but removes the recent update) and updating through Galaxy Store. No effect.
- Updated Google Play services.
- Removed all possible permissions for My Files.
- Deleted some downloaded apps I don't use. These apps were installed long before this started to happen.
- The Protect Battery doesn't influence the reboot either. Tried turning it on or off.
- Removing SD card makes no difference.
- Using 3rd party app to browse the app list works fine and doesn't cause any reboots.
- Tried using phone in Safe Mode. It works well even when connected to the internet. However, the freeze and reboot happens when opening My Files, Google Play or open the list of installed apps.
Does someone have any idea what else I could try and what could be the possible reason?

A Series & Other MobileLooks like you tried everything but a factory reset. Do the factory reset, then restore your backup. This should correct whatever corruption took place. If you want to make a manual backup of your photos, contacts and texts before doing that, connect your phone to a flash drive or computer and use smart switch to back up the items you select. Question: After the update, did you wait for the update to fully complete before trying to open "my files"? Just because the phone reboots and you are able to unlock it does not mean the update is complete, and you should avoid doing anything for several minutes and then do a second, manual reboot and again wait a few minutes for everything to set in place.

A Series & Other MobileThanks for the suggestion. The update was fully complete when I started using my phone. I used the very same way I used after the previous updates. In fact, the freeze and reboot when opening My FIles BEFORE the update made me updating the software.
