is there any way to mute the headphones through the touch controls?

Mute during a phone call makes it so that others on the call don't hear what your microphone is picking up. Turning down the volume does not do that. Turning down the volume makes it so you don't hear them, but they can still hear you.

This is a huge miss by Samsung not to have the option... it was present on previous versions!
