Galaxy RingHello, Welcome and thank you for being part of the Community. We understand how frustrating it is for the Ring to stay connected to the phone while closed in the charging case.
Have you tried restarting or resetting the Ring?
To restart the Ring, press and hold the charging case's Multipurpose button for more than 7 seconds to restart it.
To reset the Ring, On the connected phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, and then tap Reset.

Galaxy RingThank you for confirming. Another suggestion is to try resetting the network settings on the phone. Phone Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Settings This will not delete your data, but you will have to reconnect to your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices.

Please let us know if there is any change after resetting the settings.

On the phone, in your Bluetooth settings, does the Ring show connected there, with the watch, or does it give you the option to connect?

Galaxy RingThank you for checking those settings. We have been advised that the Wearable app will always show the Ring as being connected, this is expected behavior.
