Hiya everyone, I could use some help setting my notifications, I would like a different tone for each of these Email, Gmail, Whatsapp, Texts, News
I can change the tone but it seems to change them all, what I'm looking to do is set a different tone for each, can any of the great helpful members write me a very easy to follow Step by Step? I've been struggling to do this myself and even with the restrictions of movement due to Covid 19 that has given me hours of free time I still can't sort it
thanks in advance

oh, i see. This is done individually on each of the apps.

if using the Samsung EMail app -
go into the email app > hit the menu icon (three lines on the top left)
hit the gear settings icon
hit notifications
under each email you will see two options (show notifications and new emails)
select new emails
you can adjust the sound or tone it uses by selecting sound

For text messaging it will be through the settings in the phone
settings > sounds and vibration >notification sound

For whatsapp - enter the app hit the top right 3 dots > settings
select notifications > notification tone

Anything thats an app you will need to enter the app to select the different tone. Or it will be generalized to the one set in settings. Hope this helps 🙂

Hey @1flyguy ,

To change the notifcation sounds on each application you go to :

Settings > Apps > (App you want the sound changed on) > Notifications > New Messages/General Notifications > Sound > Pick a different sound

Hope that answers your question!

Cheers,
Jayhon

What Jayhon is saying is that you do those steps for EACH of the apps you want to assign a sound for. Unless I misunderstood your question, that is the answer. I apologise if I misunderstood. I'm glad I read this bc now I know anyway

This is seroiusly very annoying to me.  Why did Samsung take this feature away?

I have the S10, prior to that the S8.

With the S10 all notification, sans contacts, have the same notification that I set up for 'notifications'

I would like to assign a notification tone for each app....CNN, AOL, GMAIL, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, YMAIL, etc.

SAMSUNG.......Please fix this issue.
