Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Turn Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot On / Off

From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.

These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.

Navigate: Settings > Connections. > Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.

Tap the Mobile Hotspot switch to turn on or off.

If presented with an Attention screen, tap OK.

Mobile Hotspot usually works off of your data plan. You will want to consult with your carrier regarding any additional fees.
