Galaxy S10 mobile hotspot stopped working properly

Hi. Recently my Samsung Galaxy s10 hotspot stopped working properly. I can connect devices to my phone's hotspot, but they all get an exclamation mark over the wifi symbol. And on apple devices, it says no internet connection in the settings.

If there's anything I can change to fix it, please let me know. I have cleared cache through recovery mode, I have restarted the phone, I have turned airplane mode on and off, I have tried 5ghz and 2.4, all with no success.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I understand how frustrating this situation must be for you. If you are having trouble with the Mobile Hotspot feature on your phone it could be a problem with your carrier or your mobile data connection. 

 

You could try to fix the issue by performing a software update or by doing a factory reset. I am including a link to a guide with some helpful troubleshooting steps https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001245/.

 

If you are still having trouble connecting to the mobile hotspot we recommend reaching out to your service provider or having the phone evaluated by a certified technician.

@TacoMaster63 In your screenshot, Mobile Hotspot is turned off. Have you tried turning it on?

This is my ipad mini 5. And I've tried on multiple other devices too. And yes, hotspot is switched on20221211_131744_1627_1670786266.jpg

Check with your service provider and make sure your account and plan didn't lose your mobile Hotspot add-on, for whatever reason.

I share a plan with my parents and they can still use the hotspot. As a matter of fact, they're using it right now. Lol
