How do I set up read receipts for email and text after the customization has been done

How do I go back & set-up read rec's for email & text, once everything is customized & no longer OOB (Out Of Box).

Please explain this to me, like I'm 5 yro.

It varies depending on the phone but we would be happy to assist!  Could you provide the model of your phone?  I'm including the steps for Galaxy S20 Ultra for visibility.

Go to messages, menu > settings > chat settings and the options will be there for you.
