Galaxy S PhonesFor some of my apps, I get two copies of every notification that comes in, both in the sound alert and in the notification panel. Any idea how to stop this?
This happens for some of my email and social media accounts even though I only have one copy of each app.

Galaxy S PhonesThis would be the first step in troubleshooting. You can follow the directions below, or you are welcome to take it to a local uBreakiFix location for an authorized technician to look at it. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/ubreakifix/
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.
Your phone will take a little time booting up after the cache partition is wiped off of its contents as it will rebuild or recreate those caches. Don’t be alarmed if the phone gets stuck on the logo for a minute or two after this just don’t turn it off so that what were deleted will be replaced successfully. So, wait for your phone to become active. Don’t worry, this procedure is very easy and safe to do. You won’t damage your phone just by wiping the cache partition.

Galaxy S PhonesExactly my problem but I only used Microsoft Launcher and Action Launcher. I then factory reset my phone TWICE last week to get it to stop but it keeps happening. I don't have my secure folder holding anything that I know of, because I don't see 2 apps in the apps list under settings (usually if there's a dual Messenger or dual app due to secure folder it shows 2 apps, one without icon at bottom & one w/an icon on the bottom). Well, all the apps I get double notifications for don't show 2 apps, so it's not the Launcher and not secure folder; factory resetting doesn't fix it, come on Samsung. We'd all be much happier if we were allowed to reach them, let them know, and they fix it and we all be happy. It's so annoying that we pay for something and can't get it fixed, that's one huge flaw in the software world. Fix this already.
For my situation it could be that the launchers left some lingering settings messed up but I deliberately didn't transfer old settings to the new factory-reset version of my phone. Factory reset may possibly not work if you have a backup but there's no way I'm not using my backup bc I refuse to lose all my info/apps due to a Samsung bug.

Galaxy S PhonesThat's not was the question was. This isn't about getting a notification reminder later. This was about getting two separate notifications at the same time, not a later reminder. I'm getting two separate notifications from Facebook messenger at the same time in the notification bar. One is a system notification and one is Facebook's notification. This started when I updated my Samsung Galaxy to the new update this month. March 2019

For me, it is Facebook and Instagram. After I swipe to delete the notification, the duplicate comes in. Just Facebook and Instagram for me. I'm using Nova Launcher, Galaxy S9 on Pie
