Fingerprint scanner never works

The fingerprint scanner on the Samsung 21+ ! It never reads my print

How many fingerprints do you have registered? I add two fingerprints each for two fingers (4 total). You can check your added fingerprints and add new ones here,
Device settings>biometrics and security>fingerprints

I'd say delete it and start over. If you work a lot with your hands and maybe wear down your finger pads (I had this happen working a UPS-style job) I would say try turning up your touch sensitivity

it is also important to keep the sensor area clean.

Also, some have reported that protective glass CAN hinder the performance although I've never experienced issue.

If resetting the fingerprint or other suggestions don't help. then submit error report to Samsung Members app after reproducing the issue.

Use mine all the time and it works great. Did you have a aftermarket screen protector on?
