Moving icons to the home screen

It's impossible to figure out the new phone Samsung 21. I've spent dog years trying to figure out how to add an app icon to my home screen. It would be great if in the scrolling screen of my apps if I could press the icon and an option would come up to add it to home screen. But no, that would be helpful,, and that's not the word of the day anymore.

Sorry about the last post. This is a very awful speech to text program that I'm working with. I hope it made at least a little bit of sense. The app when viewed through the settings icon cannot be opened that's why I wanted it to appear on my home screen so I can access it. If it's a secret app or background app do you know a way to access those? Why do they make things like this so complicated?? It was so easy with the previous version of this phone.

Hmmm...I am assuming this is the app you are having problems with and this isn't what you are getting when going to apps in settings?

That's the app. Now today it has an option to open you've got to Open, where previously I could only Disable, Uninstall or Force Stop. Nevertheless I still can't put an icon for this on home screen.

You didn't by chance put the app in a folder and just aren't able to locate it did you?  Can you search for it in the app drawer and once it pops up long hold the icon and locate app should show you were its at....

I don't have the 1st clue about putting it in a folder have no idea what that means.

I have searched and searched and searched and searched the app drawer. There is no icon for Cedar finite anywhere.

There are many many apps listed in the settings tab that don't have icons in the app drawer. Surely this is the same on your phone?

Thanks for your help. Most of what I get with this phone is a lot of grief. Speech to text is so much worse than it was on the other phone I can't believe it. It will read out what I speak perfectly then gummit all up a few seconds later. How was that an improvement?

Also I can't Keep the "tap to talk" Function open. It collapses into just the keyboard with no microphone icon on it and and since I have a crippled right hand this is very irritating.
