Galaxy S21Mine fingerprint is difficult to read sometimes because my skin is so dry. Just as a test, try moistening your thumb (I just lick it or rub the thumb and finger together a few times). The touch the sensor. Does that work better for you. A moistened thumb works every time for me. And with the UI 3.0 it seems to work even quicker than before.

Galaxy S21@Mtiede there is a chance I removed it, so you maybe right. I've been removing the preinstalled film protector since they have been putting them on, it's second nature now.

Galaxy S21sounds like your devices you gotten are defective try contacting Samsung or your carrier about it to receive another phone & hopefully that one isn't defective

Galaxy S21I normally would think that but my wife also received the same phone the same day with similar issues

Galaxy S21@user62D8cFX6rC was it packaged with the other phone? Damage could have been sustained.

Galaxy S21@user62D8cFX6rC it just seems strange to me that you're having so many issues with a brand new device; it definitely isn't the norm. It's ultimately up to you how you want to proceed. I know it's very frustrating. ðŸ˜

Galaxy S21@user62D8cFX6rC it definitely sounds like your device was dead on arrival. My S21 Ultra is a beast of a phone and I have been very happy with it. I suggest you contact where you purchased it for a replacement.

Galaxy S21yup same here..I'm frustrated with the fingerprint scanner on my s21 ultra. I upgraded from s20+ hoping the new fp scanner would resolve my issues with the s20 but no. same problems.
read errors, fingerprint doesn't match, cover the entire sensor messages all the time
I'm afraid I'll be returning this phone.
